In accordance with the Guild’s Articles of Association the Guild usually holds an Annual Members Meeting (AMM) once each academic year, which is open to all full members to attend. This meeting:
- Receives the Trustee's Annual Report & Accounts - so you can see how the Guild has spent its money and the activities the Guild has been involved in.
- Approves any affiliations the Guild will make in the forthcoming academic year.
- There is also an opportunity for members to ask questions directly to the Guild of Students' Trustees.
2025 Annual Members' Meeting (AMM) and General Meeting (GM):
We'd like to invite you to our AMM and GM in The Library Room in the Guild, on Wednesday 30th April 2025 at 2:00pm.
This is your chance to find out what your Student Officers have been up to, ask questions to the Guild Trustees and learn more about how the Guild works. At the Annual Members' Meeting (AMM), the Guild’s annual report and accounts for the last academic year are presented to its members – that’s you! There will also be a vote on approving our affiliations. At the General Meeting (GM) there will be a vote on approving proposed changes to the Articles of Association.
So, if you’ve got an hour to spare, why not come along - you’ll get a great insight into how the Guild works and what’s been going on across the organisation. You don’t need to book to attend, just bring yourself and your student card.
The official notice for the AMM can be found here and the Annual Report 2023/24 is available here.
The official notice for the GM can be found here along with the amended Articles of Association and explanatory note.
All Full Members of the Guild are able to attend and vote at the AMM and GM. However, if you can’t come along, you may nominate either the chair of the meeting or another person to vote on your behalf. To nominate a proxy complete the online proxy vote form in full by no later than 2pm on Monday 28th April 2025. To access the online proxy vote form you are required to log in using your University of Liverpool student email address, this verifies your identity.
If you are nominating another student to be your proxy, you need to tell us their name and student ID number, so we know who they are.
Members are reminded of their obligation to ensure responsibility for the votes they cast, and in passing a proxy to a third party, students are relying on the integrity of that individual. You may choose to appoint the Chair of the meeting, as your proxy; use the online proxy vote form to do this.
If you have any questions, please email the Governance Manager, alice.middleton@liverpool.ac.uk
