On Saturday, 22nd March 2025, Liverpool hosted its annual Ballroom and Latin competition in Mountford Hall!
The day was a great success- we had 10 different Universities competing from across the North, and in total had 79 couples enter!
The day consisted of many rounds of dancing (28 different dance categories!), and also included many fun events such as Just dance, Back to Back Tango and a Sped up Jive.
Our competition allowed all abilities to compete, from beginner’s all the way to advanced. Our weekly classes with our amazing dance teacher, Craig Jones, gave everyone the opportunity to learn and practice their skills with a partner, which lead to amazing results from our team; we had 31 finalist couples, 11 of whom placed in the top 3, and 5 of whom came first!
Our competition was a wonderful day for our dancers to show off their talent and hard work- we couldn’t be prouder of everyone!
Our next and last competition of the season is in Manchester on the 10th May, and we also have an end of year meal in the plannings so keep an eye out on the instagram and guild website for further information
