Societies and Schools Volunteer

This opportunity is ongoing, with no end date.

Liverpool Guild of Students is inviting you to join us as societies volunteer for Guild Schools!

The Societies in Schools project encourages University of Liverpool society members to deliver workshops in Primary or Secondary schools across Merseyside. It’s a great opportunity for students and pupils to develop their skills and experience something new, plus it’s completely free both the student volunteers and the schools themselves. Societies will work closely with the Guild Schools team to design and deliver a one-hour workshop or session. It could be an introduction to the activity your society does; an insight in to academic life at university; or a workshop with an academic focus to support student’s learning. Each year we work with societies who have applied to take part in the project, and successful volunteers are trained prior to delivering to a school - including safeguarding and session planning.

To volunteer, apply for this opportunity and you will be contacted with further joining details. To find out more about Societies in Schools, please email school@liverpool.ac.uk.

All participants will need to register as volunteers on this volunteering site. You will be involved as a society in working with the Guild Schools team to plan and deliver workshops suitable for Primary and Secondary School pupils. You will be required to attend mandatory preparation training as well as completing safeguarding training.
