Aksha Ali

My manifesto

From CIBC Mess to Campus Fest!

Hello, everyone! I'm Aksha, and I'm running for student officer at the University of Liverpool. As your representative, I pledge to enhance our university experience and make our voices heard and Here’s how I plan to make a positive impact:

1. Expanding Everyone's Social Activities

  • When it comes to social activities, many students feel left behind, particularly those from varied backgrounds. In order to unite students and celebrate our variety, I will endeavour to plan inclusive and captivating social events.
  • I'll make sure there are more chances for all students to interact and experience the university community, whether it be through cultural festivals or informal get-togethers.

2. Linking Personal Calendars to the University Calendar

  • We are all aware of how difficult it can be to remember due dates, activities, and lectures. I'll push for the university calendar to be integrated with personal calendars like Outlook or Google
  • Students will find it simpler to manage their time and fulfil their work with this small but powerful adjustment

3. Opportunities for  Master Student

  • Compared to undergraduates, master's students frequently feel underutilised in terms of networking, career advancement, and extracurricular activity options
  • To make sure master's students have equal support and opportunities, I will advocate for events, workshops, and resources designed for them.

4. Addressing Fee Submission Issues

  • Many of us have had annoying problems with CIBC  mistakes while submitting fees. Unnecessary worry and anxiety are brought on by these delays.
  • To ensure that no student has to deal with this situation, I will collaborate with the university's financial department to expedite the payment procedure and address  problems with CIBC.

Why Vote for Me?
My public relations skills and understanding of student challenges make me committed to advocating for academic, social, and personal success at the University of Liverpool, ensuring inclusivity and support for constructive change.
