Our Volunteering Platform exists to offer volunteering opportunities to students at the University of Liverpool and members of the wider community and is completely free for charities to register with!

As a registered organisation with our service, you will be invited to Welcome Fairs and Volunteering fairs throughout the year, which gives your organisation an opportunity to get your name out there and raise awareness for all the excellent work you do. In order to register with us you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a UK Registered Charity (if you are a CIC, please get in touch with guildvol@liverpool.ac.uk)
  • Have volunteering opportunities in the Liverpool City Region or online (we unfortunately do not take applications for in-person opportunities outside of Merseyside, as our students may not be able to travel)
  • Offer fulfilling roles which are not a substitute for paid work

If you believe that you meet this criteria, please complete our online registration form

To complete your registration, you will be asked to upload a copy of the following:

  • Public Liability Insurance
  • Volunteer Policy
  • Safeguarding Policy (where necessary)

By completing the form, you agree to our Service Level Agreement.

We have put together a Provider How-To Guide which will take you through all the things you need to know about:

  • Submitting a registration form
  • Signing in as a provider
  • Uploading opportunities for students to access
  • Approving volunteer applications

FAQ's

We run the platform to best promote volunteering opportunities to our students, staff and the local community by working with organisations across Merseyside to advertise their opportunities. We promote organisations and their opportunities through our online web platform accessible to all students and staff, as well as regular newsletters, volunteer fairs and student meet ups with organisations.

Registering to the platform is completely free. We ask that you sign up on our website and once this request is processed we will send you an email asking for a copy of your Public Liability Insurance, Volunteer Policy and Safeguarding Policy where necessary.

We ask for all of our organisations to send over their Public Liability Insurance cover, as it simply covers the cost of legal action and compensation claims made against your business if a third party is injured or their property suffers damage whilst at your business premises, or when you are working in their home, office or business pro
